ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Project management
  • Following safety protocols to ensure compliance with regulations and guidelines
  • Observing work areas for unsafe conditions and taking appropriate action to correct the issue
  • Investigating/recording incidents, accidents, complaints, and cases of ill health
  • Data Analytics: daily, weekly, monthly reporting
  • Providing health and safety training courses for employees and managers
  • Making presentations for training and safety initiatives
  • Being part of the MAHLE Safety Committee

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must be enrolled in a college level study program at an accredited university
    • Major: Environmental, Health and Safety
    • Class Standing: second - fourth year status accepted
  • Required skills: MS office (experience in the entire suite- especially Excel including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas)
  • Prior Environmental, Health and Safety experience is a plus but not required
  • Must have precise, detailed-oriented organizational skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and an eagerness to learn
  • Must have the ability to manage multiple projects in a volume environment, and possess previous experience in an office environment
  • Demonstrated passion for people, learning, and helping employees to succeed in the area of safety
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict-management skills
