JOB SUMMARY

The part-time, Vendor-Managed Inventory (VMI) Specialist provides on-site service support for various tasks, including conversions, stock orders, order placement, handling of services and equipment, and expediting special product or service requests. This position provides a flexible schedule and requires approximately 4 to 6 hours of work per shift.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties as assigned.

• Maintains high customer satisfaction ratings that meet company standards.
• Unpack orders, check the accuracy of shipment and put stock away.
• Ensure bins have appropriate customer stock levels, generate new orders for merchandise where appropriate, obtain customer pre-approval to place orders when required, and submit orders.
• Processes return merchandise authorizations as needed.
• Performs general housekeeping of service equipment and immediate area to supplement the Company's value package.
• Utilizes company technology to complete daily tasks and order generation, tracking, and routing as defined by the Company.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 3-5 years work experience in assembly, preferably in an ISO-certified environment.
• Preferred 3 years experience in a leadership capacity.
• Background in lean manufacturing is a plus.
• Experience with ERP systems is a plus.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• To perform the position, you must be a U.S. Person, as ITAR defines. ITAR defines a U.S. Person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (I.e., 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
• Must be able to report to assigned office location during scheduled in-office workdays.
• Must have a strong command of the English language, both verbally and in writing (multi-lingual a plus).
• Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills.
• Must be computer literate (e.g., MS Windows or MS Office) and familiar with tablet devices.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Possess good networking and customer skills.
• Team-oriented, collegial, and collaborative.
• Abel to adapt to changing priorities and work with a sense of urgency.
• Proven ability to multi-task, set project priorities, and establish goals and objectives for self and staff.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often required to stand, sit, use computers, read, write, type, copy machines, file paperwork, use telephones, and utilize written and oral communication to interact with clients, co-workers, and customers. Must possess mobility to work in a standard warehouse setting and work with and around a variety of equipment, parts, and inventory; operate a motor vehicle and forklift (if position requires); strength, stamina, and mobility to perform medium physical work; Specific vision abilities required by this job include close visual acuity to perform activities such as: inspecting manufactured parts (with and without magnification), preparing/analyzing data and figures; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading. Distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus, and ability to distinguish colors and color variation of physical parts and components, as well as in documentation such as work instructions and engineering drawings. Hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone or radio. Finger dexterity is needed to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer keyboard or calculator. Positions in this classification bend, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and climbing to perform work. Employees must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds and heavier weights with the proper equipment.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
• This position is exposed to large moving equipment, including motorized pallet jacks, forklifts, lift trucks, and conveyor belts.
• Transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
