Job Summary:
Provide support to the trauma registry working with the trauma registrars on required data submission and reporting. Responsibilities include assistance with submission of data to the state of Wisconsin and National Trauma Data base, creation of data reports, assistance with registry upgrades. Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:
Previous experience in managing a computerized database/registry is preferred.
EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:
High School diploma or equivalent is required.
SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION:
Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, and trauma injuries; Knowledge and skills or computer applications normally obtained through software application classes; Knowledge of ICD-9 coding and coding experience in an acute care hospital preferred; Ability to effectively communicate with physicians and other health care professionals.
