Position Summary

This position is responsible for supporting the accelerated execution of initiatives that transform and create value for our employees, clients, owners, and other stakeholders. The Project Manager in the Transformation Management Office (TMO) is responsible for the successful planning, execution, and delivery of key transformation initiatives. Reporting to the Senior Director of the TMO, this role will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure transformation projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget. The Project Manager will play a critical role in driving change and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Senior Director of the TMO to develop necessary documentation for Stage Gate approval, including business cases, financial plans, resource plans, and project plans.
  • For TMO projects, develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure alignment of project objectives with the overall transformation strategy of Franklin Energy.
  • Manage project execution from initiation to closure, ensuring all deliverables meet or exceed expectations.
  • Engage with key stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and ensure alignment.
  • Facilitate communication between project teams and senior leadership to ensure TMO transparency is maintained.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify, assess, mitigate, and ensure timely resolution of project Risks, Actions, Issues, and Decisions through the maintenance of the RAID log.
  • Monitor project progress and performance against established KPIs and proactively address potential roadblocks to project success.
  • Provide regular updates and comprehensive reports to the Senior Director of the TMO, SteerCo, and other stakeholders.
  • Utilize data analytics to drive informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure efficient use of resources to achieve project goals through the allocation and management of personnel, technology, and budget.
  • Collaborate with other project managers to prevent duplicative efforts and optimize resource utilization.
  • Support the implementation of Organizational Change Management (OCM) best practices.
  • Work with external vendors and consultants on specific projects, as necessary, ensuring they deliver value that aligns with Franklin Energy's transformation goals.
  • Ensure project initiatives are rolled out in a way that supports Franklin Energy's culture and values.
  • Ensure all project activities comply with relevant industry regulations and standards by maintaining the highest levels of compliance and quality throughout the project lifecycle.
Position Requirements

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Environmental Studies, or a related field
  • MBA or other advanced degree- preferred.
  • 5+ years of project management experience in Energy Efficiency, Energy Management, Sustainability, Program Management, or Demand Side Management Programs with demonstrated experience in managing large-scale transformation projects.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder relationships.

  • Experience with budget management and financial oversight on projects, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
  • Experience in developing and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of transformation efforts.

  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders and build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders at all levels
  • Exceptional project management skills, including planning, execution, and risk management with the ability to identify and mitigate risks before they turn into issues.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Strong vendor management skills, with experience in managing projects that utilize external vendors and consultants.
  • Commitment to regulatory compliance, ensuring all transformation activities adhere to industry standards and regulations.
  • Commitment to high-quality delivery, ensuring all transformation initiatives meet or exceed established standards.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Executive-level communication and presentation skills.
Licenses & Certifications
  • Project Management Certification(s) - (PMI, Agile, etc.)

Travel Requirements
  • Willingness to travel up to 35%
