Salary: $95,000.00 USD Annually - $100,000.00 USD Annually
Description: Our client is currently seeking a Technical Sales - Fibers/Chemistry ONLY
- Find new opportunities within the fiber business area
- Establish a professional sales business relationship with current customers and potential new customers that will result in continuing sales and growth
- Practice and implement internal teamwork to meet the customer and market needs
- Find and develop new sales (focus on new business while growing existing accounts)
- Schedule sales visits / calls with customers and potential customers to identify product and market needs and increase market share; this includes trade shows as required
- Recommend products that meet customer's needs and address any customer issues that may arise
- Identify, design, and prioritize lab requests and submit to the Technical Manager on a timely basis
- Present lab project and technical results to potential customers to maintain and gain business
- Request product samples for customers when necessary. Follow-up on samples sent and the results of product testing by the customer (including documentation)
- Plan and conduct production trials to solve customer problems or to demonstrate the performance of products
- Write and submit sales call reports and trial reports to document actions, communicate successes and failures, actions required, market and competitor information for management, the technical staff, and sales group
- Analyze market needs, competitive products, and conduct product and market surveys as required
- Analyze monthly and ytd sales targets, variance from budget, and write a comprehensive weekly sales report that details activity
- Implement price changes as required by management
- Visit Corporate Headquarters and participate in meetings to grow internal relationships
- Assist with payment collections as required by management
- Bachelor's Degree in a Technical Field, preferably in Textiles, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Materials/Polymer Engineering
- Technical knowledge of fiber processing; including knowledge of current industry contacts, events and markets
- Experience selling into relevant industries
- Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
