SES Construction and Fuel Services LLC (SCF) is growing! We are seeking a Superintendent to join our SCF team, a subsidiary of Bristol Bay Construction Holdings LLC (BBCH). This position is located at Port Hueneme, Naval Base Ventura County, CA.

Project Scope of Work:

The objective of this project is for the Contractor to provide design and construction services to investigate, design, repair and renew the exterior and damaged interior of the medical clinic, building 1402 at Port Hueneme. Exterior Renovation including Building Envelope, Roof Overlay, New Lighting, Signage, and new flashing & Sheet metal. Interior renovation including all restrooms throughout facility. This is a USACE - Little Rock District Task Order. This is a $15.5M project with an option for additional $8M to be funded for interior renovation. Project is anticipated to be substantially complete November 2025, but will extend further if interior renovation option is awarded.

Compensation: $120,000 - $135,000 yearly DOE

Job Responsibilities:

• As Site Superintendent, duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
• Oversee daily construction activities at the work site, including work procedures and cost controls
• Review subcontractor scope and field coordination and perform day-to-day on-site management
• Prepare short-term schedule
• Update and oversee quality control and safety programs
• Monitor and implement safety programs to ensure all site personnel including subcontractor employees are properly trained in safety protocols prior to project commencement
• Enforce safety policies and procedures
• Schedule workers and oversee in-house trades and supervise and coordinate multiple contractors
• Manage delivery of equipment and materials to work site
• Ensure project conformance to national and/or local building codes
• Maintain accurate records and manage overall progress of the project
• Maintain involvement in the planning, direction, coordination and budgeting of project activities concerning the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems through subordinate supervisory personnel

Job Qualifications:

• OSHA 30
• First Aid / CPR / AED
• Heath Care Construction (HCC) certification - 2 day course
• Minimum 5-years' experience in the healthcare design and construction industry, and a minimum of 10-years in the general industry.
• Fundamental knowledge on HVAC, electrical, building envelope, low voltage systems, and fire protection systems and construction methodologies.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires the ability to maneuver around work sites, see, hear, and verbally communicate with co-workers and clients. Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining the physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, walking, or standing for prolonged periods of time; frequent opportunities to move about and to work outside the office environment for extended periods involving exposure to the elements with weather that will include extreme heat, cold, wind, rain or other inclement weather, walking over rough and uneven surfaces, and routine lifting of up to 35 pounds. If required, must properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times including but not limited to; hard hats, steel-toed boots, eye protection, respiratory protection, and hearing protection. Must maintain a constant state of mental alertness at all times. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

Working Conditions:

Job is performed in a combination of office and outdoor site locations. The office setting includes exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse. Outdoor settings include walking, driving, and carrying supplies throughout all seasons with exposure to heat and cold conditions, and potentially wildlife. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
