Title: Stock Clerk III

POSITION SUMMARY
Work performed in packing and shipping; inspecting and receiving; taking inventory of supplies, materials and equipment; coordinating disposal of surplus property; and performing related work as required. Assists with pick up, process and deliver all U.S. Postal Mail. Assists with all mail courier delivery services.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Receives, unpacks and examines goods shipped to establish and verify completeness of shipments against bills of lading, invoices and other records. Keeps records of goods received. Routes incoming goods to departments and divisions. Packs and ships materials and keeps records of shipping. Stamps or glues identifying information and shipping instructions on containers. Drives motor vehicle to pick up supplies and other items. Assist with annual inventory of institutions property including their locations, condition, and department responsible for the property.

Keeps records and makes reports. Assists institution with Copier contract and activities. Assists institution with Shredder contract and activities. Responsible for coordination and disposal of surplus using GovDeals. Assists Shipping and Receiving staff on an as needed basis with the delivery of all shipments received to various departments. Assists with pick up, process and deliver all institution U.S. Postal Mail. Assists with mail campus courier delivery services. Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High School Degrees or equivalent

Two years (2) relevant experience

Possess a valid Tennessee driver's license. Out of state applicants must obtain a Tennessee driver's license within thirty (30) days of hire.

During a shift this position regularly performs heavy lifting (up to 80 pounds), is required to stand on concrete floors, and may be subject to extreme temperatures.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Associates Degree

Working knowledge of Banner and SciQuest/Jaggaer electronic purchasing system.

Excel and Access skills.

Experience working in Higher Education

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of receiving and delivering supplies, materials and equipment (e.g., forklift). Knowledge of business arithmetic. Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures and equipment. Ability to receive, inspect, verify, and distribute merchandise on a prompt basis. Ability to drive light motor vehicle in performance of duties. Ability to process shipping related forms on an accurate and timely basis. Ability to exercise good judgment in evaluating situations and making decisions. Ability to keep records and make operational reports. Ability to learn and follow Nashville State and Tennessee Board of Regent policy and procedures. Ability and willingness to work any shift assigned.

Rate of Pay: $27,949.00 - $33,539.00 depending on experience
