Sourcing a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join the finance team at a leading telecommunications firm in downtown Los Angeles. This hybrid position offers flexibility to work both remotely and in-office. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in accounting, a strong understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general accounting functions, including accounts payable and receivable, journal entries, and bank reconciliations.
• Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Prepare and maintain account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing necessary reports and entries.
• Review and verify the accuracy of financial data and ensure compliance with company policies and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses to support management's decision-making.
• Monitor and track fixed assets, depreciation schedules, and other relevant accounting records.
• Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations as required.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial processes and records are properly maintained and aligned with company goals.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and assist in implementing efficiency-driven solutions.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably within the telecommunications or technology industry.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, QuickBooks, SAP) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work accurately under tight deadlines.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Experience with financial reporting and reconciliations.
