Title: Staff Accountant TEMP (open ended w/ possibility of going temp-hire)
Location: Irvine, CA - On-site
Pay: $30-36 p/hr

MUST HAVE:
2 years staff accountant experience
Yardi Software
Property Management experience

SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Our client in Orange County, CA is looking to fill Staff Accountant position. The Staff Accountant position provides a unique opportunity to join a high-performance organization and participate in the Accounting team. In this position, the individual will need to be self-motivated and will be responsible for processing accurate and timely accounts receivable and accounts payable duties, as assigned by the Controller.

Responsibilities:
* Completion of monthly bank reconciliations.
* Review lender statements. Post any interest and true up accrued interest quarterly.
* Review utility bills. Accrue for any unbilled expense.
* Review Gross Potential Rent (GPR) report and post GPR journal entries. Correct any errors when necessary.
* Review rent roll for accuracy. Follow up with Property Manager for any correction.
* Review A/R & A/P Aging reports for accuracy. Correct any errors when necessary.
* Maintain and review prepaid logs for expenses.
* Post recurring journal entries and accrual journal entries.
* Prepare and distribute financial packets.
* Prepare additional financial reports as needed.
* Record property issues on the Accounting Scorecard.
* Answer any inquiries made by owner.
* Prepare replacement reserve reimbursements.
* Processing checks for all payables due.
* Monthly processing of all loan payments.
* Mailing of all checks issued.
* Processing all vendor inquiries.
* Prepare weekly A/P Aging and available cash report upon request and as necessary.
* Deposit checks in the bank and record in Yardi.
* Assisting with timely completion of all annual audits.

Requirements:
* Bachelors degree preferred - preferably in Accounting/Finance/Econ
* Experience with bank rec's for multiple accounts
* 2+ years of financial statements
* Intermediate to advanced Excel
* Yardi software experience - required
* Property Management experience - required
* Team player, problem solver and quick learner!
