Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Sr. Security Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role is integral to safeguarding the organization's information assets and ensuring the security of their systems.

Responsibilities include:
- Designing, testing, evaluating, implementing, and managing security systems/devices
- Analyzing the information security environment and developing measures to safeguard information
- Collaborating with the technical team to recover data after a security breach
- Configuring and installing firewalls and intrusion detection systems
- Developing automation scripts to handle and track incidents
- Investigating intrusion incidents, conducting forensic investigations, and mounting incident responses
- Delivering technical reports and formal papers on test findings
- Performing vulnerability testing, risk analyses, and security assessments
- Collaborating with colleagues on authentication, authorization, and encryption solutions
- Establishing system controls by developing a framework for controls and levels of access
- Safeguarding computer files by performing regular backups and developing procedures for source code management and disaster preparedness

The ideal candidate will have:
- 5 or more years of experience with information technology security programs, audits, controls, and/or third-party risk management
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office suite and other business-related software programs
- Proven analytical/problem-solving skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
- High School diploma, GED, or High School Equivalency
- Key industry certifications such as CISA, CISM, CISSP, CRISC, etc. (preferred)
- Knowledge of industry-standard frameworks such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001, NIST 800-30, etc. (preferred)
