About the role:
As a Director, Data Loss Prevention, you will serve as a critical member of the Risk & Security, working to mitigate information security risk. You will serve as a DLP subject matter expert, proactively refining technology requirements and opportunities for automation to better mitigate data loss. You will identify and respond to events and incidents associated with data loss and will partner with stakeholders across the enterprise to reduce risk.
In addition to applied experience, you will bring excellent problem solving, communication and teamwork skills, along with agile ways of working, strong business insight, an inclusive leadership attitude and a continuous learning focus to all that you do.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Perform analysis and remediation of data loss events .
- Identify governance, process and data loss resiliency improvement areas; propose changes to eliminate redundant work by leveraging automation.
- Partner with business stakeholders to align the DLP function with business strategies, goals, missions, and objectives.
- Conduct research to improve accuracy across systems and minimize false positives through use of technology and data analytics.
- Analyze event metrics to inform and enhance company's security posture and improve existing monitoring and response processes.
- Drive technology requirements; engineer and tune alerts generated from DLP systems and other technologies.
- Work closely with the cyber defense team to respond to potential or real high-risk threats.
- Lead DLP rule development lifecycle including policy development, response rules, and maintenance.
- Create and maintain security controls for cloud-based infrastructure in alignment with enterprise requirements.
Qualifications, Education & Experience:
- Comprehensive expertise in end-to-end DLP management, including overseeing and implementing security solutions within cloud ecosystems.
- Proficiency with data protection and security operations through use of DLP tools and cloud security technologies.
- Experience with supporting multiple cloud computing platforms (i.e. AWS, Azure or Google Cloud environments).
- Knowledge of business concepts, tools and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the business.
- An applied understanding of relevant and emerging technologies and an ability to embed learning and innovation in the day-to-day.
- Minimum 3 years of meaningful professional experience with emphasis on cybersecurity, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology or related field.
- Experience utilizing security tools such as Endpoint Detection & Response, Security Information & Event Management, and Splunk are preferred
- Excellent problem solving, communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience configuring policy and regular expressions preferred.
