POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Government Account Executive (GAE) is responsible for new business development, prospecting, cultivating and penetrating sales in selected agencies of the Government. The Senior GAE will serve as the primary contact for developing long-term customer relationships and securing program purchase commitments at established price levels.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Achieve sales activities and performance objectives for retention and penetration of strategically targeted Federal agencies
Interact with the GPO Sales Manager to develop and execute sales strategies for targeted agencies
Provide coaching and leadership to local sales efforts and customer service team members
Coordinate FXO participation in procurement programs sponsored by the regional offices of the US Government Printing Office, i.e., Small Purchase Agreement Programs and Term contracts with single center production.
Develop sales to federal government contractors using the new Federal Contracting Program (FCP); provide guidance to the Government Inside Sales Team on selling strategies.
Participate in the qualification process of new customer prospects
Coordinate sales efforts of FedEx Office services and all core print product offerings
Schedule and conduct regular in-person visits to new and existing key agency contacts
Initiate marketing programs to activate FedEx Office services within agency targets
Ensure that customers are trained to utilize the FedEx Office ordering and purchasing guidelines for products
Maintain and grow established accounts with the primary focus on agency headquarters and key targeted customers with decision-making abilities
Build and lead account strategy by engaging additional resources to grow revenue at locations beyond HQ (secondary coverage)
Manage the entirety of assigned accounts and travel to multiple locations within the account, as required
All other duties as needed or required


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
7+ years of commercial sales experience with a focus on prospecting new customers and developing existing business relationships
Experience in sales planning, sales proposals, and selling the value propositions appropriate to corporate level customers and others in the organization
Prior Federal Government sales experience required
Prior experience working with the Department of Defense and the US Government Printing Office
Strong knowledge of Federal Government Procurement and Contracting Practices
Demonstrated understanding of sales financial targets/quotas
Proven selling, presentation, closing and organizational skills
Demonstrated business math and intermediate computer skills with MS Office

Ability to travel as required in order to meet with customers, vendors, other team members, and/or other business necessities
Ability, on a consistent basis, to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time
Ability, on a consistent basis, to read and interpret documents and instructions from customers, vendors, and other team members
Ability, on a consistent basis, to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and other team members
Ability, on a consistent basis, to perform work activities requiring cooperation and instruction
Ability, on a consistent basis, to function in a fast-paced environment, under substantial pressure
Ability, on a consistent basis, to work within the appropriate level of independence
Ability, on a consistent basis, to report regularly to work and maintain established business hours in order to support the FedEx Office business; regular attendance and/or reporting could include regular attendance at a physical location and/or maintaining established business hours depending on the scope and nature of the position

Preferred Qualifications:

Pay Transparency: This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the salary, information represents the job level minimum and the job level maximum. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors permitted by law. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The Company offers eligible employees health, vision and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.

Pay: $6,168.90-$10,898.39 monthly

Additional Details: This is a remote position. Applicants must reside in Washington DC, Maryland or Northern VA.
