The Sr. Employee Relations Partner is a key leader within Alteryx's People & Culture team, responsible for fostering a positive and inclusive work environment. This strategic role involves building strong relationships across the organization and advising on employee relations issues to ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations globally. As a trusted advisor to both employees and management, the Sr. Employee Relations Partner plays a crucial role in promoting fair and consistent practices that align with company values.

This role supports the development of a best-in-class Employee Relations (ER) function and ensures employee concerns are managed in a timely, fair, and consistent manner. Additionally, the Sr. Employee Relations Partner will partner closely with the Vice President of HRBPs and DEIB to deliver comprehensive HR services aligned with the organization's objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Employee Relations Strategy: Develop and implement employee relations strategies, policies, and programs that align with organizational goals and foster a positive work environment.
  • Employee Support and Issue Resolution: Serve as a primary contact for employee grievances, complaints, and concerns, ensuring timely and fair resolution in line with company policies and legal standards.
  • Conduct and Document Investigations: Lead investigations into employee concerns, including issues of harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and other policy violations ensuring impartiality, compliance, and proper documentation globally. Collaborate closely with the Legal team to ensure investigations are conducted in accordance with legal requirements and organizational policies, and to develop appropriate resolutions that mitigate risk and support company values.
  • Manager Training and Guidance: Provide training and guidance to HRBPs and managers on employee relations matters, including performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
  • Policy Development and Compliance: Collaborate with DEIB and Legal teams to develop, interpret, and ensure compliance with employment and compliance policies and applicable laws, while implementing strategies to mitigate risk.
  • Proactive Issue Management: Identify potential employee relations issues and develop strategies to prevent or mitigate them, fostering a harmonious work environment.
  • Data Analysis and Improvement Initiatives: Monitor key ER metrics recommending improvement initiatives based on insights.
  • Leaves of Absence/Accommodations: Partner with Alteryx's Benefits team assisting in complexed leave and/or accommodation requests, ensuring compliance and support for employee needs.
  • Enablement Strategies: Partner with Talent & Development team to develop tools and resources that empower people leaders in managing employee relations effectively.
  • People & Culture: Develop strong working relationships across the P&C team, particularly, P&C HRBPs, to ensure ER's efforts are aligned with business strategies and goals.

Job Requirements:

Required Skills:
  • Comprehensive understanding of employment and HR-related laws in global jurisdictions.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading investigations and advising on performance challenges.
  • Strong consultative skills with a proactive approach to ER issues.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage effectively across all organizational levels.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Excellent analytical and critical-thinking skills.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree: a master's degree or JD is preferred.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience, including 4+ years leading an Employee Relations function or 2+ years in employment law practice.
  • Extensive knowledge of employment laws, labor relations, and HR best practices.
  • Proven experience in conducting workplace investigations and resolving complex employee relations issues.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment policies, practices, and procedures.

Compensation:

Alteryx is committed to fair, equitable, and transparent compensation. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as your relevant work experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic location.

The salary range for this role in the United States is $145,000- $185,000.

In addition, you may be eligible for additional compensation, such as a bonus. Employees may also be eligible for a wide range of other benefits, including medical, retirement, financial, wellness, time off, employee discounts, and others.
