As Senior Accountant - you will be responsible for the application of accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information and prepare accurate and timely financial reports. As a key member of the accounting team, this position will prepare and review schedules, journal entries, and perform account reconciliations to support the Welbilt Corporate Americas team. This position will provide critical analysis and information to the leadership team and will work closely with various Company locations, including the Parent Company.
Reporting directly to the Manager Corporate Accounting, this position is based out of our Corporate headquarters in New Port Richey, FL and may work remotely.
Essential Job Functions:
- Reconcile cash daily and prepare monthly bank reconciliations for multiple accounts.
- Maintain the payroll general ledger mapping to the payroll system.
- Record payroll and expense transactions to the general ledger for multiple Company locations.
- Prepare general ledger account reconciliations in accordance with Company standards and post journal entries to the general ledger, in Oracle. Must be able to identify and resolve any issues identified during the account reconciliation process.
- Prepare and reconcile all cash pooling transactions with the Parent Company.
- Support other Welbilt initiatives and special projects, as required.
- Assist with compiling and organizing data required for audits.
- Identify and drive continuous process improvements.
QualificationsEducation & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree is Finance/Accounting or related field; with a minimum of 8 years of relevant Finance and Accounting experience is required.
- Will consider at minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
Skills & Abilities:
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office including MS Excel, Word, Project, and other software applications.
- Demonstrated aptitude for math and ability to perform detailed calculations and analysis.
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and management.
Working Conditions:
