Job Title: Senior Software Engineer (Contingent)

Location: New York, NY

Job Expectations:

• This position requires in-office presence and is not available for remote work.
• Candidates must be located in one of the specified locations.
• This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.
• Potential for full-time employment conversion for suitable candidates.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Azure Public Cloud environments.
• Contribute to large-scale strategic planning.
• Design, code, test, debug, and document projects and programs, including upgrades and deployments.
• Review and analyze moderately complex technical challenges, requiring in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures.
• Resolve technical issues and lead a team to meet client needs, leveraging a solid understanding of functions, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals.
• Lead projects, act as an escalation point, and provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff.
• Continuously learn and develop new skills.
• Mentor and guide other developers.
• Apply creative thinking to identify and work around process design challenges.
• Create process definitions and standards, ensuring timely sharing of project documents with relevant parties.
• Contribute to the creation of standard approaches and techniques.
• Develop prototypes and proofs of concept.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work, consulting experience, training, military experience, or education.
• 7+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft .NET Core, C#, VB.NET, and .NET design patterns (Factory, Builder, MVC, Entity Framework, DAO, Singleton Pattern).
• 7+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud development and deployment, including Kubernetes orchestration with AKS, Microservices, Web Application, Batch Application, Functions, Message Bus integration, MS SQL, and other blueprints.
• 7+ years of hands-on experience with HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, jQuery, React, and data modeling languages (XML, YAML, JSON).
• 7+ years of hands-on experience with SQL, SQL Servers, non-SQL databases, MongoDB, and other standard database query tools.
• 7+ years of hands-on experience with web services (SOAP, REST) using OAuth and JWT, ASP.NET Web API, and ODATA.
• 7+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work, training, military experience, or education.

Desired Qualifications:

• 7+ years of hands-on experience with DevOps methodologies and scripting languages (Go, Python, Batch, PowerShell).
• Experience with Power BI reporting and dashboarding platforms.
• Hands-on development experience with Ansible APIs and Playbooks.
• Experience with Continuous Improvement and Continuous Development methodologies and tools (Jenkins, GitHub, Bitbucket, Harness, YAML, Artifactory).
• Experience with different SDLC methodologies (Agile SCRUM, Kanban, JIRA boards).
• Experience in developing unit tests and integration tests (XUnit, MSTest).
