RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client in Beaverton, OR that is seeking a Software Engineer.Key Competencies:
  • Configures systems within Manhattan WMS/Active software package that impacts a range of standard and non-standard customer, operational, process, project, or service activities
  • Performs technical analytics related to advanced data analysis, data mining, and source to target mapping
  • Creates and maintains complex context process and system diagrams describing the architecture and functional flow for WMS systems
  • Interprets customer needs, assesses requirements, and identifies solutions to non-standard requests
  • Work with remote groups such as vendors, other facilities, and or departments to gather and document tactical requirements from the business
  • Coordinate and communicate functional requirements of business unit and technical solutions with IT capability resources by designing and documenting advanced functional specs
  • Accountable for projects or programs with manageable risks and resource requirements
  • Provide support to all deployment, data conversion, go-live support and stabilization
  • Oversees and performs complex testing activities including construction of test plans/scripts including the expected results and the validation of test results
  • Applies global process standards to regional technology solutions and defines standards, processes and policies
  • Configure packaged solutions to address unique and complex business requirements
Test platform and business processes changes
  • Prioritise the work necessary to deliver against the business requirements
  • Communicate and document system changes to the business
  • Translate system functionality into business relevant language
  • Works with systems personnel to implement design
  • Measuring performance through metrics, performance indicators and key results
  • Partnering with peers to align work toward a common goal
  • Plan and track quarterly budgets for engineering resources


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or other relevant areas and/or extensive work experience focused on system management and analysis
  • Experience working with a large Warehouse Management Systems applications
  • Hands-on Manhattan WMS/Active Configuration experience
  • Hands-on Manhattan Proactive Configuration experience
  • Strong working knowledge of standard WMS processes like Inbound, Putaway, Outbound, Pick, Pack, Ship, Automation and MHE Strategies
  • Experience in executing GAP assessments, creating solution design documentation and functional design related to RICEF elements
  • Good communicator that can translate business needs into actionable work items
  • Relationship building with key customers
  • Strong level of knowledge for their domain(s) - within both the technical solution and the business needs
  • Able to assist Product Management in translating the business requirements into actionable work items
  • Team-first ideals and the support of a healthy technology culture
  • Complete Manhattan WMS implementation cycle experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of system integration technologies (i.e. GCP and AWS SNS) is a plus


The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
