We also help merchants connect with their customers, process exchanges and returns, and manage risk. We enable consumers to engage in cross-border shopping and merchants to extend their global reach while reducing the complexity and friction involved in enabling cross-border trade.

Software Engineer at PayPal develop innovative solutions and high-quality products that touch millions of people every day. Our engineers solve some of the most complex technical problems in the world of connected payments across multiple business units, (including PayPal, Braintree, Venmo, Paydiant). We are looking for the highest levels of technical talent and programming skills, as well as a keen desire to deeply understand our products and services to push our technology forward with respect to functionality, performance, reliability, and scalability.

You'll work alongside the best and the brightest engineering talent in the industry. We have opportunities in a wide range of areas including development, design, search, platform, test, quality, big data, front end and back end. As a core participant of your team, you'll estimate engineering efforts, design your changes, implement and test your changes, push to live, and triage production issues. You need to be dynamic, collaborative, and curious as we build new experiences, improve existing products, and develop distributed systems powering the world's largest e-commerce and payments websites at a scale only a few companies can match.

Job Description:

• Work with business partner to enable the world class Compliance platform in PayPal.

• Work with the top engineering talents to solve the tech challenges including high scalability, low latency and high availability using the cutting-edge micro-service and big data technology.

• Code is well-commented, easy to maintain, and can be reused across a sub-system or feature. Code may persist for the lifetime of a software version

• Code is thoroughly tested with very few bugs and is supported by unit tests.

• Beginning to lead feature or sub-system design reviews and code reviews and be recognized as the go-to developer for that component.

• Leads feature or component design reviews and code reviews and is fully recognized as the go-to developer for that component.

• Responsible for managing multiple Applications, providing necessary support and

maintenance activities.

• Should be comfortable working in an agile environment and with cross-functional teams, should have appetite to learn and be flexible to pick up new technology.

Requirements

• CS or related majors. Bachelor and above.

• 5+ years working in software engineer.

• Solid knowledge in Java and experience in design and implementation of REST-APIs, Spring Boot.

• Solid knowledge in UI development experience using Next.js or React.

• Experience in micro-service and high concurrency service design and optimization.

• Good understanding of database principles and SQL optimization beyond just data access.

• Good understanding and experience of message queue and asynchronous programming.

• Experience in Big Data technology is a big plus.

• Experience in AI technology is a big plus.
