Position Summary:

The NCTU is managing a complex mix of trials among multiple departments, including Neurology, Neurosurgery and ENT. This position manages, conducts, and evaluates the social/clinical research associated with the Neurosciences Clinical Trials Unit, a division within the Department of Neurology. The work performed is to support the expanding research programs.

This position validates data/information collection, documentation, and analysis with a goal of performing and ensuring that good clinical practice guidelines are followed. The range of duties include, but not limited to: management of projects, (planning and design, data/information collection and analysis, project administration and oversight).

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience:

The candidate must be able to:

  • Work independently and to multitask
  • Plan work to meet established deadlines
  • Maintain organization
  • Identify basic principles of social/clinical research

This person must have strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail. The Clinical Research Assistant must be familiar with IRB and HIPAA regulations.Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience:

Preferred candidate will have: (1) knowledge in a related area, e.g., Psychology, Biology, Social Work, 2) Have experience with clinical trial research and data entry; and 3) have experience in clinical and research activities involving patients and families.
