Ultimate Staffing is hiring a Server Repair Technician to join an amazing Tech company in Santa Clara. Get your foot in the door with a growing company!

• Monday-Friday 9am-5:30pm
• Start ASAP
• $28-$32/hr DOE
• Temp-to-Perm

The Tester will be responsible for testing, trouble shooting, and replacement of parts on servers sent for diagnosis and repair.

• Inspect, test, and diagnose servers.
• Replace parts as needed.
• Conduct and analyze server stress tests.
• Document all symptoms, test results, and parts replaced in shop floor tool.
• Collaborate with motherboard repair, motherboard testing, QC, whole unit repair, and inspections personnel.
• Provide back up for QC, inspection, whole unit repair, and motherboard testing.
• Other duties as assigned by leadership.

Other Skills Required:

• Know how to assemble components to make server functional.
• Run and understand testing diagnostics.
• Understand basic networking architecture.
• Understand basic error codes.
• Able to trouble shoot common server errors and issues.
• Brings knowledge to enhance trouble shooting and diagnosis of failures.
• Understands end to end flow of server repair process.
• Know Linux commands and able to use terminal.
• Experience troubleshooting and diagnosing servers, experience with computer tools such as email, spreadsheets, and call tracking or shop repair tools.
• Experience with replacing parts on servers
• Experience with server configuration
• Good written and verbal skills to document errors and repairs
• Industry/Environment: Prefer to have worked in a PC or server type of environment.
• Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.

Education Qualifications:

• Education High school diploma or equivalent technical experience, certifications in Server support and architecture desired
