Purpose of Job :
1) To support the commercial sales team in account specific requests including but not limited to, annual price action, part adds, and business expansion opportunities.
2) To prepare and present accurate analysis and strategy for new business based on inputs and assumptions from across the organization including commercial sales, supply chain, product, operations, and finance.
3) To monitor account performance to ensure that pricing is rational within segments and channels.
4) To complete ad hoc requests and CI projects that keep the team moving forward.
Job Components :
Prepare and present pricing strategy on incremental volume opportunities (40%)
1) 18% Align with cross functional business partners on details and strategy.
2) 25% Update excel pricing strategy model to include part level detail on price, retail margins, and profit margins.
3) 5% Prepare PowerPoint presentation for leadership review
4) 2% Present strategy to leadership for approval and provide price to the commercial sales team
Part Adds for existing customers (10%)
1) 5% work cross functionally with commercial sales and pricing execution teams to implement part adds
2) Update excel pricing strategy model to ensure pricing for part add is in line with customer strategy
Annual Price Action (20%)
1) 10% work cross functionally with broader price strategy team to collect market relevant inputs and apply them to account level recommendations
2) 5% work cross functionally with commercial sales team to ensure account specific needs are considered
3) 5% work cross functionally with price execution team to validate and upload price action to take place at the correct time
Ad-Hoc Requests & Projects (30%)
1) 15% Ad-hoc requests including but not limited to distributor profitability analysis, market relevant pricing comparisons, family group pricing, etc..
2) 15% Projects including but not limited to automation and standardization of repeatable processes, account repositories, channel harmonization and rationalization, etc..
Qualifications :
1) College degree highly preferred in Finance, Business Administration, or Math.
2) Highly proficient with Microsoft Office, primarily Excel, a must.
3) Strong presentation skills, including written and verbal communication, a must.
4) Must be accurate.
5) Detail oriented.
6) Working knowledge of Tableau, Power BI, SQL, and Alteryx a plus.
7) Able to work with large amounts of data for long periods of time.

Interacts with National Account Managers, Distributor Operations, Finance managers, etc.
