Working in partnership with ABS Learning Centers, Global Business Development, Marketing and Communications, and client-facing leaders, the Senior Manager, Client Training Programs will drive the development of innovative and engaging training programs using a variety of formats for ABS clients. The Senior Manager, Client Training Programs will manage metrics, desired outcomes, evaluations, and client feedback and establish common processes and methodologies to ensure high-quality program delivery.

What You Will Do:

  • Develop the client training roadmap, including creating new courses, updating existing courses, and retiring legacy courses.
  • Work with content experts, business development professionals, marketers, external influencers, and industry experts to produce relevant training content.
  • Direct the design, development, assessment, communication, and evaluation of client training programs.
  • Develop benchmark criteria to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of client training programs and make adjustments as needed.
  • Collaborate with ABS Learning Centers and Global Business Development on proposal strategies, sales presentations, pricing, and contract execution.
  • Stay actively informed of the business activities, product, and service capabilities to enhance client support, service delivery, and business operations.
  • Ensure that training content reflects the business objectives and priority areas agreed by the business.
  • Actively monitor the maritime training support email requests and keep a catalog of program enhancements.
  • Manage the execution of maintenance updates to content and assessments.
  • Conduct competitor and industry research to ensure content is timely, relevant, and on par with market needs.
  • Review project metrics to ensure that execution is within the approved budget, schedule, and in accordance with company quality requirements.
  • Propose and implement technology and processes to create effective design, development, and delivery of client training programs.
  • Stay current with and apply the latest theories and best practices for instructional design and adult learning theory.
What You Will Need:

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum five (5) years payroll or related experience; would prefer experience with payroll system implementation.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to incorporate strategic business initiatives and organizational goals into training and development programs for clients.
  • Agile, proactive, and comfortable working with ambiguous specifications.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and critical thinking skills when managing changes in scope, implementation, timelines, and priorities.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, as well as the ability to adopt the style, tone, and voice of our business for an external audience.
  • Ability to compile and analyze performance data to develop metrics that support decision-making for resource allocation and project management.
  • Proven ability to lead by example and foster training development through collaborative relationships.
  • Proficient knowledge about adult learning and techniques for grasping new concepts.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and able to work independently and manage projects with many moving parts.
  • Strong creative background with advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and Articulate 360.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail.
  • General knowledge about business planning and proposal execution.
  • Working knowledge of the ABS Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental Management System.
Reporting Relationships:

Reports to the VP, Commercial Training.
