• Full-time, permanent position at single site
• 1st Shift Monday-Friday 6:45AM - 3:15PM

The Opportunity

This is a working supervisor role that will be working side by side with Mechanics, Welders, and Technicians. You will be there to supervise performance and train as needed.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Ensure Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) compliance by adhering to regulations, standards, and internal policies, while promoting a safe and environmentally responsible workplace.
• Serve as a working supervisor, overseeing the performance and activities of the Maintenance personnel on shift.
• Supervise the preventive maintenance and repairs of all plant equipment
• Coordinate all major projects, ex. shut downs
• Manage the organization of maintenance shop and parts trailer
• Oversee mobile equipment maintenance i.e., forklift, track and back hoes and assist the Maintenance Manager to ensure parts and supplies are in inventory
• Maintain working knowledge of plant equipment
• Welding, if qualified
• Pipe fitting

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required
• 3 to 5 years of mechanical experience
• Previous supervisory experience is a plus
• Ability to work independently and multi-task with little to minimal supervision
• Ability to read equipment prints; secure information from OEM manuals; apply basic mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division and read, understand and apply common operational documents, SOP's, and training modules
• Ability to drive a forklift
• Must possess a basic set of tools
• Must possess a valid driver's license
• Successful completion of OSHA lock out/tag out and confined space entry training may be required
• Successful completion HAZWOPPER training (provided during first week of employment)
• Ability to work occasional overtime
• Ability to obtain a physician's certification to wear a respirator is required
• The ability to pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check, are required
