Compensation Range
Hourly: $20.90 - $24.00 (Amount based on relevant experience, skills, and competencies.)

About This Job

The main purpose of this job is to monitor and post all domestic and foreign securities related dividends, interest, and principal pay-down payments to the Commerce Trust Company client accounts.

Essential Functions

  • Serve as subject matter expert (SME) on matters relating to traded securities asset types as well as securities activities such as securities trading, securities settlement, free activity, and securities income.
  • Monitor and pre-balance all Income event notice reports to ensure timely and accurate posting to client accounts
  • Monitor, research, and resolve out of balances appearing on Income related reconciliation reports
  • Ability to manually calculate and post Income when appropriate
  • Identify and prevent liability risks related to inaccurate balancing and posting of all types of Income.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and process efficiencies including for advanced asset types such as alternative assets
  • Perform special project related work as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
  • Strong knowledge of Traded Security Types and the impact various event types have on other aspects of security processing, such as pending cash trades and pending free activity
  • Ability to recognize the critical impact of accurate processing and how it affects downstream processes
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with ability to solve complex issues and make decisions
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to think with a growth mindset and recommend ways to streamline processes for efficiency
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize and perform varied assignments with frequent distractions.
  • Motivated and organized initiative-taker with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Inquisitive, agile, and strong collaborator with strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that aligns with our culture and Core Values
  • Advanced level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook

Education & Experience
  • Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • 3+ years of Financial Services Industry related experience with securities knowledge required.
