Compensation: $105,00,000 - $120,000 + Commission
Title: Senior Director of Sales

Job Purpose
The Senior Director of Sales is responsible for overseeing the entire sales operation at the New York Puttery location, driving revenue through new business development, and leveraging an established local network. This role is key in promoting, selling, and coordinating events within the venue while ensuring the Puttery concept is effectively represented in the marketplace. The Senior Director will not only lead the sales team but will also act as a strategic leader in driving corporate, social, and community events, working closely with operations to ensure seamless execution. This role requires a local background to fully understand the New York market and its unique opportunities for growth.

This Senior Director of Sales role is designed for a dynamic leader with strong local ties to New York, a deep understanding of the entertainment and event sales landscape, and the ability to drive significant revenue growth. Responsibilties

  • Sales Leadership & Strategy: Oversee all aspects of sales for the New York Puttery location, including corporate, community, and social events. Establish sales goals, strategies, and initiatives to drive growth and maximize revenue.
  • Business Development: Leverage your existing network and local connections to generate leads and new business opportunities for both private events and general venue sales. Create strategies to increase brand awareness and revenue in the New York market.
  • Event Management: Negotiate contracts, obtain deposits, and ensure all event logistics are handled efficiently. Collaborate with the Operations team to communicate expectations, timelines, and event details, ensuring seamless event execution.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as Operations, Marketing, and Food & Beverage, to ensure that event execution exceeds expectations and aligns with company standards.
  • Team Leadership: Provide mentorship and leadership to the local sales team, supporting their professional growth and ensuring they meet performance goals. Foster a high-performance, innovative, and fun culture within the team.
  • Revenue Maximization: Use upselling techniques and explore new revenue streams, ensuring the highest profitability for each event or booking. Implement pricing strategies that meet sales goals.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Prepare and present weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reports to senior management. Utilize data to drive decision-making and adjust strategies to meet sales objectives.
  • Local Market Expertise: Maintain a deep understanding of the New York market, including trends in corporate and social events, venue competition, and community engagement. Build and nurture relationships within the local business community to drive venue and event bookings.
  • Community Engagement: Lead and support local outreach initiatives, including networking with corporate and community partners, to generate new business for the Puttery brand and its event spaces.
Qualifications
Qualifications and Skills
  • 5-7 years of experience in sales leadership within high-volume, complex leisure or entertainment concepts, with a proven track record in event sales.
  • A deep understanding of the New York market and strong local connections in the corporate, social, and community sectors.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop a sales team, driving performance and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of event planning, management, and coordination, with the ability to execute events of various sizes and complexities.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to interpret data and develop actionable insights to improve performance.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, sales technology, and event management tools (CRM, POS systems, etc.).
  • Outstanding customer service skills, with a passion for delivering exceptional experiences for clients and guests.
  • Excellent time management, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Willingness to work extended hours as required, including evenings and weekends, to meet business needs.
Education:
  • A 4-year Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-pressure situations.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods as needed.
