SummaryThe Relief Pharmacist is part of the Tulane University Campus Health team of committed professionals dedicated to supporting and promoting student health and wellbeing as a core institutional value through a multidisciplinary, comprehensive approach. This relief pharmacist position reports to the Pharmacist-In-Charge. The individual serving in this role is responsible for dispensing medication, providing patient counseling, upholding pharmaceutical standards and operations of the Campus Health Pharmacy.
The relief pharmacist contributes substantially to the ongoing integrity of pharmacy and clinic operations the Uptown Health Center. This position provides leadership and supervision of pharmacy staff. In collaboration with the PIC, the relief pharmacist is responsible for the legal operation of the Pharmacy, including all state and federal regulations governing the Pharmacy. The relief pharmacist will assist in directing professional pharmacists, technicians, students, and support personnel in completing a variety of assignments, such as prescription entry, interpretation and review of prescriptions, drug utilization review, prescriber calls, issue resolution, and filling prescriptions. Collaborates with nurses and providers to maintain a consistently high standard of care. This position works closely with the Campus Health clinical staff.

1. Louisiana Pharmacist License in good standing 2. Over 2 years of retail pharmacist experience 3. Certified Immunizer
Preferred Qualifications1. Experience with third party billing and insurance. 2. 3 years of retail pharmacy experience. 3. Experience in college health setting. 4. Experience with supervising pharmacy staff or students. 5. Experience with managing pharmacy software.
