Ultimate Staffing is seeking an experienced Regional Business Development Manager for a client in the St. Louis area.is a leading global supplier of products and technical solutions that deliver essential performance and value across various market applications, including metals, construction, chemical synthesis, water and emissions treatment, glass, textiles, plastics, rubber, agriculture, foods, and beverages. Job Title: Regional Business Development Manager

Location: St. Louis/Hybrid/Remote

Salary: $70k-100K + commission

Job Description: Mid-level sales position focused on "value-added" sales and account management, handling customer needs with appropriate products and services, driving new business growth, and communicating internally and externally across a multi-state region. The primary focus will be on key markets and applications within the Steel, Paper, Water Treatment, Utilities, Chemical, and Construction sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive Sales Growth: Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed revenue targets in the assigned region.
  • Build Strong Relationships: Cultivate and maintain relationships with key clients, distributors, and industry partners to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Account Management: Handle customer needs with the appropriate products and services, driving growth of new business and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Market Expansion: Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities to expand our market presence and increase market share.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support to customers, maintaining a strong market and applications understanding.
  • CRM Utilization: Effectively utilize the CRM system to document sales calls, quotations, reports, key customer information, etc.
  • Reporting: Submit routine reports, such as customer reports, monthly reports, territory performance reports, budgets, forecasts, and expense reports in a timely manner.

Required Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required; technical or science discipline such as chemistry, biology, or engineering preferred.
  • Experience: 4-7 years of industrial sales experience with a strong technical background required.
  • Licenses: Valid Driver's License required.
  • Skills: Must present professionally and be a good listener with strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills with an interest in active involvement in customer-facing situations required.
  • Abilities: Proven ability to effectively develop, cultivate, and sustain relationships on a multi-level, multi-functional basis and ability to manage end-market distributors.

Essential Functions:
  • Approximately 30-40% travel.
  • Manage and drive territory performance versus a planned budget while balancing customer needs with company business objectives and target account plans.
  • Prepare documents such as price quotes, competitive analyses, contracts, and service obligations.
  • Understand customer end-use markets and the technical details relative to the use of company products in their applications.
  • Prospect for new business by studying markets and customer needs.
