The Office of the Chief Security Officer (OCSO) for the Architect of the Capitol (AOC) is responsible for the maintenance, care and operation of the buildings, grounds, and physical security enhancements of the U.S. Capitol Police, campus wide physical security infrastructure and an off-site campus supporting all legislative branch agencies. OCSO also manages the agency's internal security programs and policies, including personnel suitability and badging and liaises with other partners regarding security matters.

The Program Manager Lead Security Specialist will represent the company and oversee all security support roles identified in this contract. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: planning, organizing, directing, controlling, staffing and reporting status, deliverables and schedules to the Government. ** This position is contingent upon contract award **

In this role you will...

  • Take charge and be the face of the Company when it comes to making critical decisions on schedules, employee assignments, performance assessments, and disciplinary actions. Your leadership will shape the team and drive success.
  • Collaborate closely with the Security Division to innovate, plan, and execute cutting-edge security programs that protect our people, assets, and information. Your strategic insights will safeguard the future.
  • Supervise and mentor a dynamic team of security specialists and support roles, empowering them to excel and grow. Your guidance will ensure a safe and secure environment for all.
  • Take on a variety of exciting and impactful security responsibilities as they arise, keeping every day fresh and challenging.

Required Skills/Experience:
  • Must have a current Top Secret personnel security clearance and the ability to maintain such clearance throughout the life of the contract.
  • Minimum of six (6), preferably eight (8), years of supervisory or team leader experience managing personnel and coordinating the appropriate personnel and/or disciplinary actions in the security field.
  • Certified Protection Professional (CPP) certification or Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC).
  • Ability to discuss technical issues with non-technical, executive-level government officials.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of multiple security disciplines (i.e., information, industrial, physical, personnel, security training, etc.).
  • Ability to multi-task efficiently by working in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects
  • Excellent active listening and verbal communication skills;
  • Strong business writing ability;
  • Flexible and adaptable attitude;
  • Can conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines;
  • Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of stakeholders; and
  • Ability to discuss technical issues with non-technical, executive-level government official

The anticipated compensation range for this position is $89,505 - $141,095. Multiple considerations are taken into account when determining the final salary/hour rate, including but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, education and certifications, relevant work experience, related skills and competencies, as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
