Cenovus is looking for a skilled Products Planner & Scheduler to join our at the Toledo, Ohio refinery. This position involves collaborating with Commercial, Marketing, and Logistics teams to schedule daily product movements and developing optimized gasoline blend recipes, applying knowledge of gasoline blending and refinery operations to create a long-term blending plan that adapts to operational changes and market fluctuations.

What you'll do:
- Interface daily with operations to provide real-time blending direction to optimize gasoline blending for maximum gross margin while managing inventories and meeting market demand. Update/lead gasoline blending, gas component inventory plans, distillate inventory in response to both planned and unplanned events. Collaborate with third-party pipelines to develop a seasonal RVP phase change plan in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
- Apply and enhance blending and scheduling tools (MBO/Orion) by integrating industry standards, while developing a sampling and testing plan with the on-site laboratory to ensure sufficient data for blend modeling. Conduct audits of blend recipe performance against the plan to detect quality discrepancies and confirm accurate modeling correlations.
- Leads a cross-functional team to track Product giveaway costs and key metrics while assisting in resolving gasoline quality issues with the Product Quality Team, Operation and Process Engineering.
- Rotates with Distillates & NGLs product scheduler, managing NGLs and distillate components and finished products. Products including Jet fuel, finished diesel, intermediate distillates, and NGLs. Additionally, scheduling non-products pipeline shipments (barge, local pipelines, onsite transfers) and issuing COAs for product shipments.
- Provide backup for Gasoline/Distillate Products Planner and Crude Scheduler.
Who you are:
- Legally authorized to work in the US
- Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of refinery or chemical plant experience
Preferred:- Process engineering, transportation fuels marketing, and/or refining commercial experience.
