What You Will Contribute:


This position will be responsible for working directly with the Product Manager, under direction of the Marketing Manager, and is involved in all aspects of the product management, including: marketing analytics, competitive analysis, product planning, pricing, forecasting, promotion and product life cycle management.

Major Job Duties/Accountability:

• Assist in the development of short and long range business plans for the product line consistent with market needs and corporate strategic plans
• Support product life cycle management as directed by the Marketing Manager
• Coordinate with internal and external strategic partners to implement plans as directed by the Marketing Manager
• Assist with product pricing policies based on established gross margin objectives and assist with preparation of plans for margin improvement where necessary
• Assist in the development of marketing specification as appropriate
• Prepare competitive analysis and formulation of competitive counter strategies for new and existing products
• Assist in the development of product promotional items including trade shows, product literature, product training and product distribution plans to achieve Business Plan objectives for assigned products.
• Conduct tasks in accordance with applicable Badger Meter polices and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from a four year college
• 1 - 3 years experience
• Advanced skill level in MS Word, MS Power Point and MS Outlook
• Intermediate skill level in MS excel
