Basic Job Functions:
The role of the Process Control Lead is to provide direction and mentorship (both technical and social) to a team of professionals. The role requires a strong desire and demonstrated ability to focus on safety. The process control lead will report directly to the process control supervisor and act in partnership with the supervisor to ensure that the team is successful in our mission of taking care of our customers. The process control lead is responsible for assisting the team in documenting and scheduling work and ensuring that nothing is forgotten.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate Engineering Degree or equivalent experience.
- Mentoring Experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous melting, casting, rolling, or leveling knowledge/experience.
- Prior experience in a leadership role (Currently in a lead role, or has held an interim lead or supervisor position)
- Four year or Advanced engineering degree.
