The Behavioral Insights and Parenting Lab (https://biplab.uchicago.edu) at the Harris School of Public Policy seeks a postdoctoral researcher interested in how children acquire human capital and how that shapes children's social and economic outcomes. We seek a candidate with strong knowledge of econometrics, statistics, and data analytic skills relevant to designing and implementing experiments (in the lab or in the field), working with complex survey data, and/or developing new measures of children's skills. The Postdoctoral researcher will work on independent and collaborative research under senior faculty members' guidance. The post-doc will also teach two quarter-length courses per year (can include a mix of graduate and undergraduate teaching) and participate in the academic life of the school (including attending workshops and seminars). The position of postdoctoral researcher at the rank of instructor is initially for a one-year, renewable term.
Candidates are expected to complete their PhD by the appointment start date and have a demonstrated record of research achievement.
