Be a Tar Heel!:The Department of Mathematics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position in the fields of algebra, geometry, topology, representation theory and mathematical physics. This position is for one year and is renewable for at least an additional year, pending satisfactory performance and the availability of funding. The proposed start date is July 1, 2025. Applications received by December 9, 2024 are assured complete consideration. After that, applications will be reviewed on a continuing basis until the position is filled.

Position Summary:Duties of this position will include teaching three semester-long courses during each academic year, supervising students, and continued strong and independent research.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:Candidates should have received a doctorate in mathematics or a closely related field.

Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience:Experience in one or more of the following mathematical areas: algebra, geometry, topology, representation theory, and mathematical physics.
