Salary: $60,000.00 USD Annually - $70,000.00 USD Annually
Description: Our client is an industry leading meat processing facility and they are currently seeking a plant safety manager for their facility located just outside of Logansport IN.

Job Title: Safety Manager - Food Manufacturing

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Manager to oversee and implement our safety programs, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in safety management within the food manufacturing industry and a passion for maintaining a safe work environment for all employees.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs and policies.
  
• Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and inspections to identify and mitigate hazards.
  
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, FDA, and other relevant safety regulations.
  
• Provide safety training and education to employees at all levels.
  
• Investigate accidents and incidents, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  
• Maintain accurate safety records and documentation.
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
  
• Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes.
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in safety management within the food manufacturing industry.
  
• In-depth knowledge of OSHA, FDA, and other safety regulations.
  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  
• Certification in safety management (e.g., CSP, CIH) is a plus.
