This engineer is a key member of a focused team developing simulation technologies in the area of Tribology. As an engineer on the team, you will develop and apply advanced Finite Element Methods and other simulation technologies to model tribological contacts. We are developing a range of modelling tools and processes to assess surface durability and support product development decision making. The engineer will improve and extend these simulation tools and processes.

A primary responsibility is to take on a leadership role for developing power system analysis processes and tools in specific areas related to power system durability and performance, developing finite element models for tribological problems to predict friction, wear and other surface durability issue, and executing plans to achieve technical requirements, schedules and contract commitments.

Other responsibilities include, performing necessary analysis and initiating ideas; evaluating new products, processes, or systems; communicating results to customers, suppliers, team members; supporting other engineers; providing best actionable recommendations and solutions.

What You Will Do:

Primary job responsibilities may include applications of power system structural simulations to influence early product concepts and design decisions, to improve the existing products by resolving engine/drivetrain structure issues and to develop or improve simulation related processes and technologies.

Other areas of responsibility encountered in this role may include any or all the following: perform necessary analysis and initiate ideas; evaluate new products, processes or systems; communicate results to customers, suppliers, team members, and other business units; contribute to the design of new products and processes; support other engineers, managers, marketing personnel, customers and suppliers.
