Payroll Accountant Hybrid Opportunity in Atlanta, GA!

Contract to Hire

Hourly Salary: $38-$42

Position Overview

Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client in Atlanta, Georgia, is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Payroll Accountant for a contract-to-hire role. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.

Responsibilities

* Manage and process payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

* Maintain and update payroll records in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

* Prepare monthly balance sheets, reconciliations and month end accruals

* Perform month-end close and generate financial statements and schedules.

* Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.

Qualifications

* 5 years of accounting and payroll experience, preferably in non-profit, government, or healthcare sectors.

* A degree in Accounting or Finance is required.

* Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and Vlookups, for data analysis and reporting.

* Proficiency in ADP and Deltek Costpoint is highly desired.

* Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
