IU High School Online is looking for Web/Course Content Specialists to provide technical and editing support with virtual courses.
Job Summary
- Assists Lead Course Specialist in developing, editing, launching, refining, updating, and maintaining virtual course content delivered through IUHS.
- Works with IUHS administration, staff, and teachers to ensure virtual course design and functionality meet learners needs.
- Understands and attends to "best practices" and current guidance, rules, and processes for virtual content accessibility and virtual course structures.
- Uses IUHS course templates, pedagogical model.
- Attends to IUHS formats, policies, and procedures in designing and maintaining courses.
- Edits virtual educational content that aligns with course objectives, standards, and learning outcomes using front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, etc.
- Utilizes the various learning management platforms to build and manage course materials effectively.
- Edits content and refining existing materials.
- Applies instructional design principles to content.
- Leverages multimedia editing tools and web development technologies to edit course content.
- Applies stakeholder feedback to course refinements
- Engages in multiple projects, ensuring timely completion and quality standards.
QualificationsEDUCATION
Required- High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED)
Preferred- Enrollment in or completion of Computer Science or Instructional Systems Technology degree
SKILLS
Required
- Knowledge of instructional design
- Knowledge of learning management systems and virtual course technology
