Cumulus Media | Appleton Oshkosh is looking for a dynamic Part-Time On-Air Host for middays on Classic Hits 103-9 WVBO. Our team works in a state-of-the-art facility, takes pride in our community and values teamwork. Who We Are:

Cumulus | Appleton Oshkosh currently features 5 stations in the Northeast Wisconsin area. Our stations include: WVBO 103.9 FM (Greatest Hits), WPKR 99.5 FM (Country), WWWX 96.9 FM (Alternative), WOSH 1490 AM (News/Talk) & WNAM 1280 AM (Music of Your Life). The cluster of 5 stations reaches 115,000 thousand Fox River Valley listeners on a weekly basis.

Responsibilities include hosting a midday music show that generates ratings by being entertaining, informative, community oriented and supportive of the goals for the station/brand. Must have a deep understanding of how to prep content for multiple platforms in a fast-moving environment. The candidate should be able to plan and produce a quality show, contribute creative ideas and production elements. Candidates must have a strong passion for connecting with listeners, huge work ethic and meets with the Program Director weekly for review and planning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce a compelling radio show by using creativity, imagination and exercise of independent professional judgment in writing, producing, interviewing, taping or broadcasting on-air content
• Great with phones/interacting with callers, interviewing artists/guests and hosting live events
• Connect with listeners via phones, social, video, web and on-site
• Live Broadcasts and station appearances, whether paid or unpaid
• Voice commercials as assigned

Qualifications:

• Socially informed and perceptive; up-to-date and in tune daily with the local and national trends and/or specialized knowledge of topics/events related to on-air discussions.
• Demonstrated upbeat personality, informative, entertaining and engaging on the air; able to relate to station audience
• Pleasant, charismatic and well-controlled voice; excellent pronunciation
• Excellent verbal and written communication and editing skills; proficient in grammar; ability to make others feel comfortable and open up on air
• Strong production skills and knowledge of Op X, VOX Pro/Adobe Audition and Audacity a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and social networking
• Strong knowledge of all FCC rules and regulations
• Demonstrated creativity and imagination
• Can work well in a team environment; collaborative
• Audio demo of on-air interviews, commentary, announcements, etc. must be added to online profile/application
