Job Summary:

AxiaTP is seeking a Network Engineer to keep clients' networks up to date with the latest technology. This role is responsible for implementing, monitoring and managing the local and wide area networks of an organization to ensure maximum uptime for users. The candidate should be familiar with Microsoft 365 email and multi-factor authentication. The candidate will have the ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly, work across multiple teams, and enjoys engaging and influencing others. The candidate will have the experience and skills necessary to jump into the work and add value to the team from day one.

The Network Engineer will work as part of a pod to establish and system performance for clients by building configurations and connections, as well as troubleshoot problems. Successful candidates will have strong customer service skills, enjoy working with others to solve problems and take a hands-on approach to their work. This position is constantly in communication customer team members. Providing a great customer support experience is a primary responsibility of this position.

Main Accountabilities:

  • Providing excellent customer experience. This role is 80% customer facing.
  • The role interacts with the customer on the phone, video meetings, email, and in person.
  • Implementing new network solutions and improving the efficiency of current networks
  • Planning, installing and configuring Cisco Meraki MX security appliances, Fortigate firewalls, SonicWall firewalls, Cisco ASAs and various other technologies.
  • Configuring VLANs, ACLs
  • Installing Microsoft Server operating systems
  • Management of Microsoft core service technologies; DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, Group Policy Objects
  • Implementing, monitoring, & managing a Microsoft 365 Ecosystem
  • Experience with Hybrid M365 Domains Ecosystems
  • Experience with configuring and managing Microsoft Azure Multi-factor Authentication.
  • Experience managing and supporting Data Backup applications.
  • Investigating faults in the M365 Ecosystem
  • Investigating faults in the network or M365 ecosystem providing level 2 and 3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues.
  • Updating network equipment to the latest firmware releases
  • Reporting status to key stakeholders
  • Performing network maintenance and systems upgrades, including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations
  • Monitoring performance and ensuring system availability and reliability
  • Monitoring system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning
  • Working within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure
  • Selecting and implementing security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company's security team
  • Acts as the liaison with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • CCNA or relevant experience
  • M365 Administrator Expert and 5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience migrating domains to M365
  • Previous experience working for a managed services provider preferred
  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a network engineer
  • Experience with Cisco Meraki configuration and management of MX security appliances
  • Proven hands-on network engineering experience, including monitoring, network diagnostic, and network analytics tools
  • High energy and drive with good negotiation skills
  • Proficient with general Office suite application
  • Strong organizational, presentation, time management and customer service skills
  • Skilled in preparing written communications and materials
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including telephony skills, communication skills, active listening and customer care
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, with additional languages a plus
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and across multiple functions and disciplines
  • Ability to understand and apply analytical and statistic tools
  • Results-oriented with strong process and execution skills
  • Ability to travel to customer locations, as needed
  • Valid driver's license
