We're on the hunt for a Lead Multi-Axis Machinist in Buellton, CA.

Position: Full-Time, Direct Hire

As a Lead Multi-Axis Machinist, you'll:

• Mentor and Lead: Train and develop machinists/operators, ensuring thorough cross-training on operations, set-ups, and procedures.
• Expertise in Precision: Serve as the go-to machinist for high-risk aerospace machining, handling tight tolerances with skill and precision.
• Drive Quality and Efficiency: Manage daily production needs while upholding safety, quality, and productivity standards. Support the team with 1st Article runs and inspections using aerospace-grade materials.
• Advanced Programming: Provide crucial programming support in Esprit, and work with multi-spindle, multi-turret CNC machines, and live tooling.
• Innovate and Improve: Lead process improvements, conduct efficiency studies, and assist in the design and development of new products, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Problem Solving: Create corrective action plans for quality spills and address knowledge gaps within assigned cells.

What We're Looking For:

• Industry Expertise: A strong background in the aerospace industry is essential.
• Multi-Axis Machining: 5+ years of experience with Mill (5-axis), Lathe (Mill/turn), EDM, and/or Swiss machines.
• Lathe CNC Mastery: Expertise in Lathe CNC setup and machining, requiring minimal supervision.
• Technical Know-How: Proficient in blueprint reading, GD&T, SPC, and mechanical inspection methods.
