SARSTEDT, a leading manufacturer and distributor of blood collection and medical devices, laboratory consumables and instrumentation, seeks a Molding Cleaning Specialist.

Shift: 1st Shift

Hours: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM (Monday - Friday)

Department: Mold Maintenance

Summary

Responsible for performing the required preventative maintenance on the molds' stripper plates and other relative areas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for coordinating machine shut down with the Injection Molding Managers in order to perform preventative maintenance according to the weekly schedule.

Removes and installs components from the mold using the proper gantry crane while the mold is mounted in the molding press.

Cleans all components, stripper plates, tools, and equipment as needed.

Visually inspects each component for damage.

Processes maintenance plans using the Company's BDE system.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and three to six months related experience and/or training.

Other Qualifications

Ability to use various types of hand tools.

Basic molding press operation knowledge preferred.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet software, Microsoft Word Processing software, Microsoft Access Database software and Profitemp Manufacturing software.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.

The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.

The employee is frequently exposed to airborne particles and risk of electrical shock.

The employee is occasionally exposed to vibration.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
