We are a team of friendly, motivated, and highly collaborative business and veterinary professionals looking for a top-tier laboratory benchtop, microbiologist to join our growing crew.

Microbiology Laboratory Technician

As a Microbiology Lab Technician, your primary responsibility will be processing, analyzing and reporting results for veterinary microbiology patient samples at our diagnostic laboratory in Louisville, KY. This includes organism identifications, susceptibility testing, and common setup practices.
Responsibilities and Duties
(include, but not limited to)

• Plate reading and interpretation of biochemical tests
• Receive specimens processed for microbiological setups, and perform testing and result reporting.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and make minor repairs when needed.
• Receive specimens and assist with specimen handling; incoming packages and track specimens from UPS

Knowledge, Qualifications & Compensation
• An MT/MLT or Microbiology degree is desired.
• 2+ years of experience in clinical microbiology labs (preferred but not necessary).
• Team-oriented, friendly, and loves a challenge.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills are required.
• Robust organizational and time management skills.
• Experience in the veterinary field is preferred. Other experience is considered applicable. We provide training for those new to the veterinary field.

Schedule: Tuesday- Saturday 4 AM-12:30 PM (times may vary)

Physical and Time requirements:
• Able to sit and stand for long periods of time
• Able to lift up to 50lbs
• Flexible hours and overtime may be required
• SHIFT TIMES: Must be available for evenings as needed and rotating weekends

The following base pay range reflects the anticipated base pay for this position if a selected candidate were to
be located in (Louisville). Base pay may vary based on location and other factors.
