Volt is immediately hiring for Material Planner in ELYRIA, Ohio 44035

Job Overview:

Plans and requisitions materials of greater complexity and financial impact within certain product lines and/or commodities. Plans ordering parameters based on achieving multiple objectives. Adheres to ordering parameters, insuring objectives are achieved and/or modified to improve on objectives.

As a Material Planner you will:

• Initiates reschedules as result of changes in plans and/or priorities. Initiates follow-up of materials to insure availability to production. Communicates with suppliers on delivery status. Handles routine availability problems and recommends to supervision alternatives on major problems.
• Monitors incoming material through inspection and prioritizes where necessary. Coordinates the disposition and flow of rejected material. Monitors material receipts and inventory on period basis. Reports results against plan. Identifies areas adversely impacting plan levels and take corrective action drawing upon supervision and/or management, as necessary. Monitors flow of material to support production insuring availability is as required. Ensures materials are requisitioned to the ordering parameters.
• Coordinates ECO activity, ensuring proper disposition of material and insuring replacement material is available as required. Generates commodity forecast to be used in Procurement in establishing of long-term contracts. Ensures visibility is given to all material within a commodity. Communicates regularly with Procurement any changes which may impact established contracts. May participate in new product programs. Identifies and disposes of obsolete inventory.
• Required to maintain accurate planning parameters, schedule, and prioritize work orders, troubleshoot issues with management, review inventory and process documentation.

This is a Full-Time opportunity.

Schedule:

Duration: 6 months contract

Schedule - Monday to Friday 40 hours in a week

Plans ordering parameters based on achieving multiple objectives. Adheres to ordering parameters, insuring objectives are achieved and/or modified to improve on objectives.
• Initiates reschedules as result of changes in plans and/or priorities. Initiates follow-up of materials to insure availability to production. Communicates with suppliers on delivery status.

• Required to maintain accurate planning parameters, schedule, and prioritize work orders, troubleshoot issues with management, review inventory and process documentation.

Pay Rate: $25-$27.15 /Hourly

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
