Job Summary:
Provide a safe and secure environment for patient care. Assist in the planning, implementation and coordinating of safety and security programs to reduce risk to patients, visitors and staff. Assist management staff with interpretation and compliance of applicable laws. This position will report to the Director of Safety and Emergency Preparedness.
EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:
Ten years of experience as a police/security officer is required. Past experience with budgetary process required. Previous experience with human resource issues as it relates to staff is required. Past experience in writing safety and security policies and procedures.
EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:
Bachelors degree is required.
TRAINING DESCRIPTION:
Completion of advanced safety training is required.
SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION:
Must be familiar with access control systems. Must have good public relations skills. Must be hard working and honest.
