Job Description
Managers work within our collaborative teams to analyze complex construction scheduling and project cost issues, often related to business disputes including litigation. Managers' daily responsibilities include:
- Maintain and foster client relationships through superior client service.
- Detailed analysis of data and documentation, such as: construction drawings, schedules, submittals and shop drawings, daily reports, weather data, cost reports, and more, to determine trends and key findings.
- Preparation of forensic schedule analysis utilizing various methods, such as As-Planned vs. As-Built and Windows Analyses.
- Labor productivity evaluations.
- Calculation of delay damages, calculation of lost profit / income, and assessment of consequential damages.
- Review and verify construction costs and cost reasonableness.
- Develop, update, and maintain project schedules in Primavera P6.
- Perform reviews of baseline and periodic schedule updates for quality, compliance with specifications and overall reasonableness.
- Prepare and /or assist with the preparation of expert reports, expert testimony and exhibits for trial or settlement negotiations, and provide client support during litigation, arbitration or mediation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical, construction-related field (i.e.: architecture, construction management, engineering).
- 4+ years of experience working in construction management, construction claims, or project controls.
- Prior experience as consultant working on damages and investigative work in support of contractual disputes, dealy claims, and litigation.
- Proficient in interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Ability to work in a consultant setting and track time and monitor activities against a budget.
- Must be able to perform complex tasks and handle multiple priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including technical report writing.
- Proficient with standard software packages (word processing, spreadsheets, Adobe).
- Proficient with scheduling software, such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.

The hiring range for this position is estimated at 120,000 to 155,000.
