Summary of the Role
The Maintenance Technician II is accountable for driving results in a fast-paced environment by preserving the condition and functionality of all facility and manufacturing equipment with a high degree of safety and quality. The position will be responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and preventative maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the business goals. The position requires compliance with the Sterling core competencies and non-negotiables, as well as functional competencies included in this position profile.
Based at our Germantown, WI site the Maintenance Technician II role will work an off-shift schedule.
Your Responsibilities
- Follow maintenance standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Troubleshoot machinery and diagnose the root cause of malfunctions using diagnostic tools and problem-solving abilities.
- Perform mechanical repairs using hand and power tools.
- Assist with execution of small to medium scale projects
- Support contractors.
- Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on instrumentation, support systems, facility, utilities, and manufacturing equipment.
- Collaborate with other maintenance technicians to solve complex mechanical issues.
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment
- Follows all internal safety practices and OSHA regulations.
- Provides excellent customer service to internal client groups.
- Ensures timely completion and compliance with cGMP and all other relevant company training requirements.
Requirements for the Role
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED with 1-5 years relevant work experience in Pharmaceutical or Manufacturing industry preferred.
- Experience working in a chemical or industrial environment preferred.
- Industrial Maintenance Technician Certificate preferred.
