Job Description: A prominent national defense litigation law firm located in downtown Houston is in search of an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support a team of three litigation attorneys. This role requires a candidate with a strong background in defense-side litigation, including trial preparation and case management.
Top Three Requirements:
Litigation Support: Proven experience on the defense litigation side, particularly with trial preparation, calendaring, and eFiling (primarily state level). Experience in summarizing medical records and attendance at trials are advantageous.
Specialized Knowledge: Experience with Toxic Tort litigation and Public Entity litigation is a plus.
Attitude and Adaptability: We seek a coachable individual who can adapt well to feedback and collaborate effectively, as opposed to someone who is defensive.Practice Areas: Toxic Torts, Public Entities, General Litigation

Hours: 7.5-hour workday (flexible hours, fully onsite; typical schedule is 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, file, and serve litigation documents (primarily state, some federal)
- Manage internal and court deadlines through calendaring
- Provide direct support to three attorneys
- E-file legal documents at state and federal levels
- Assist with case file management as needed
- Maintain timekeeping for attorneys
Candidate Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of defense-side paralegal experience required; up to 20 years of experience accepted
- Strong proficiency in iManage
- Must be coachable and open to constructive feedback
- Experience summarizing medical records and familiarity with iManage is a plus
