Job Summary
This position provides primary operational support to the Chief Compliance Officer with regard to the development, management and/or coordination of University Compliance initiatives at all IU campuses.
Department-Specific Responsibilities
- Acts as the University Compliance liaison with compliance and regulatory units of the University to develop and provide compliance assistance.
- Acts as an Administrator for multiple compliance systems. Manages access, provides training to users, coordinates with IT staff on troubleshooting issues, and ensures proper documentation.
- Primarily responsible for the communication and content of the compliance program documents consistent with the requirements of the Federal Sentencing Guidelines and compliance program guidances, as appropriate.
- Interacts with other national university compliance programs, remains up to date on current compliance enforcement activities and best practices involving higher education.
- Coordinates training initiatives for University Compliance efforts. Develops, maintains, and updates content for online training modules and supporting materials as applicable to compliance initiatives. Designs, develops, and delivers compliance training to constituents across all campuses of the University.
- Serves as liaison and resource person to high-level administrative offices, coordinates activities, exchanges information, and resolves problems and concerns. Responds to compliance questions and investigates requests for compliance assistance; prepares reports involving investigations, corrective actions, compliance program activities and metrics.
- Drafts correspondence and presentations and performs research regarding university compliance issues and communicates those accordingly. Updates compliance communications as necessary including but not limited to written policies and procedures, training, and education.
General Responsibilities
- Develops, maintains, and coordinates university compliance initiatives on all IU campuses.
- Performs enterprise compliance audits/assessments, prepares risk and data analysis, conducts research and creates reports related to enterprise level compliance activities; identifies and collects information regarding compliance-related activities, performs analysis regarding the effectiveness of such activities, and prepares metrics and other evaluation measures.
- Researches current enforcement activities involving higher education institutions and supports compliance community by assessing, determining, and communicating impact to the university.
- Contributes to the development, management and implementation of project plans consistent with the requirements of federal, state and local regulations and statutes, as well as compliance policies of the university and its affiliates.
- Researches, designs, develops, and delivers compliance training to constituents across all campuses of the university.
- Drafts and facilitates communications to regulatory and compliance stakeholders on all IU campuses regarding institutional compliance activities, policies and procedures, updates to applicable regulations and changes to operations and actions.
- Regularly researches and identifies best practices as related to enterprise compliance, and provides recommendations and communicates findings appropriately.

EDUCATION
Required- Bachelor's degree (preferably in related field)
WORK EXPERIENCE
Required- 2 years of program/project coordination that includes experience with project management in a compliance or regulatory setting
Preferred- Experience in a university setting
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES
Preferred
- Advanced certification in compliance or management-related field
- Certification in project management, compliance or related area is highly desirable.

Working Conditions / DemandsThis role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
