Lead Operator, Manufacturing

Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is seeking a Lead Operator to join our world-class manufacturing team. As a Lead Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring flawless production processes and delivering exceptional results.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with a team of operators to perform filling, labeling, and packaging of products according to GMP, ISO 13485 guidelines, and company SOPs.
  • Comprehend and complete production paperwork including product reconciliation, label reconciliation, labor sheets, product fill checks, torque checks, etc.
  • Clean and sanitize work areas, machines, glassware, or equipment as needed.
  • Operate and supervise production equipment, making necessary adjustments to ensure smooth operations and high-quality results.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with work groups to ensure successful task and project completion.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Perform other assigned duties.
Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of one year of related experience and/or training in manufacturing.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the job, including standing, walking, using hands to handle objects, tools, or controls, talking and hearing, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Knowledge of GMP, FDA, and ISO regulations for diagnostics manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with handling hazardous materials and OSHA safety compliance.
