RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Laurel, MD that is seeking a Junior Geographic Info Systems Developer/Analyst.Responsibilities:- Support implementation and maintenance of the ESRI GIS environment
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to elicit requirements and processes
- Design software solutions that adhere to programming best practices
- Perform unit testing to validate solutions; assist with user acceptance testing
- Follow change management procedures to migrate new solutions to Production
- Provide production support by troubleshooting and resolving identified issues
- Follow service level agreement (SLA) metrics when resolving production issues
- Collaborate with IT team to deliver secure solutions on schedule and on budget
- Mitigate security vulnerabilities by working with IT Security and COTS vendor
- Work with COTS vendor to support, maintain, and upgrade applications
- Configure maintenance objects and business objects in Oracle WAM
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in the specific discipline required by the Commission
- Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Information Systems, or Computer Science, or related technical field and one (1) year minimum of relevant experience in GIS
- Some knowledge of ESRI GIS technology suite
- Skillset ESRI suite of tools and services, Javascript, SQL, Oracle or SQL databases, SharePoint, ServiceNow, MS Office products (Word, Excel)
- Able to work with some direct supervision
- Experience in some of the following: SQL, Python, JavaScript, Arcade
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
