DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Manager of IT Infrastructure is tasked with overseeing the teams responsible for maintaining systems, database, and Datacenter infrastructure technology. This role includes managing individual contributors, ensuring goal achievement, project participation, and daily operational support. The Manager will ensure the effective operation and reliability of technology they support. A strong background in Systems, datacenter, Disaster Recovery, and cloud technology is essential. Additionally, the Manager will collaborate with peers to design and implement environment improvements, serving as a point of escalation for outages and incidents related to infrastructure technology.
- Lead and manage the IT Infrastructure team, including Systems and Database IT Infrastructure professionals
- Manages changes in priorities, funding, scope, and timing to maintain alignment between business expectations and IT Department plans and budgets.
- Must look 1-3 years ahead to consider the long-term consequences for the IT Environment when choosing a technical direction, proposing a technology investment of the environments, simplification opportunities or advising on strategic issues.
- Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives.
- Interacts with the IT leadership on matters related to IT projects
- Selects, develops and evaluates staff to ensure the efficient operation of function.
- Negotiate and administer vendor, consultant contracts, and service agreements.
- Identifies innovative technical and process solutions that drive the desired performance in cost, quality, compliance, customer service and revenue.
- Ensures that appropriate standards (corporate, industry, national and International) are adhered to.
- Setting Goals and Expectations for the Systems and Database support teams
- Manage physical equipment within data center including HVAC, UPS, fire suppression, racks, servers, and appliances
- Leads, develops, updates, documents lifecycle of IT, participates on Disaster Recovery response team, develops processes and procedures
QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelors' Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proof of continued education within the IT environment, preferred.
- Experience with aspects of IT Infrastructure and Operations is preferred.
- Five to seven (5-7) years or more of technology leadership experience required along with the ability to multitask, delegate, and work quickly under pressure.
- Microsoft, ITIL, or Service Professional certification. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, preferred.
- Ability to lead the entire project lifecycle of application and technology system projects to successful completion which includes gathering requirements, design, procurement, build, test and hand off to operations.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multiple teams/organizations
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills are required
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to train, coach, and mentor.

DISCRETION EXERCISED:- Exercise a wide degree of latitude and creativity. Relies on extensive experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals.
LIAISES WITH: - All departments and key personnel necessary to maintain effective integration between technology and the business. Supplier representatives, Government representatives, and Corporate personnel.
